  The father of a 10-year-old girl set to get a new lab-built ear has said the science will transform her life. Radiyah, from Milford Haven, Pembrokeshire, has a condition known as microtia and was born without a properly formed left ear.   AN INSPIRATIONAL Newport star student who studied psychology part-time at University of South Wales alongside her freelance work as a British Sign Language Interpreter has achieved top marks.  How British deaf are being annoyed with American-based subtitling software, and very poor spelling and huge gaps in access via subtitling.. #1  Bad captions annoy me so much. It takes more effort to try and decipher what they're supposed to say and by the time you've figured it out, you've lost track of what's going on ? #2  Content providers need to realise captions aren't a bolt-on afterthought, but a core service and part of their 'offer' to customers.
