And just like that… I was almost due with a little bundle of baby. Nine months have flashed by, the unyielding force of time making me, yet again, wonder how it all goes by so fast. This is a bit of a lengthy post, so if you just want to get to “what on Earth do I buy in the second half of pregnancy,” just scroll down past the next section. However, if you’re curious / nosy (I love me some tea), grab a cuppa and join me for a little friend chat. LIFE UPDATE: GOIN’ BREECH The past few months have, undoubtedly, been some of our best — and some of our most stressful. In bet ..read more

Welcome to my Pregnancy Capsule Wardrobe, featuring almost all non-maternity items. This is the blog post I spend ages searching for when I first discovered I was pregnant but could never find. Now, first thing’s first. I know I said I wouldn’t be doing too much pregnancy content. And, well, there’s been a lot of pregnancy content. Maybe I was being optimistic before. While I hope W&S is a useful, interesting guide at the end of the day, it also highly reflects my life. And right now, at 31-ish weeks pregnant, getting dressed is at the top of my struggle list. Try on Trials: An Honest Review of Sezane (Dresses, Tops, & Accessories)

READ MY HONEST REVIEW OF SEZANE: PART 1 (TOPS, DRESSES, & ACCESSORIES) READ MY HONEST REVIEW OF SEZANE: PART 2 (SWEATERS, TOPS, & COATS) I don’t know if these ‘Sezane Review’ posts are still helpful for anyone. But, considering I put in a fairly large Sezane order recently (and I’ve put on a little bit of extra weight), I thought I would share how Sezane clothes — namely dresses — fit. Dresses are usually My Nemesis, but since becoming pregnant, I’ve had to lean on them to have 1. Anything that fits 2. Comfort. Jeans and a tucked-in top just don’t work on me anymore. LE SIGH. And luc ..read more

My first Sustainable Summer Capsule Wardrobe coming from the UK — and the first in a soul-crushing heatwave. It is currently 31 degrees C outside; that’s 88F for all my American fellows out there, which hardly counts as inferno — unless you live in an old, ‘charming’, Victorian house designed to trap all the heat IN. And then you have: inferno. I recognize it’s only been 3 days of this heat. But, not to sound dramatic, I can’t remember a time when the air was chill, the leaves crisp, the sun a welcome respite. Needless to say, my Sustainable Summer Capsule Wardrobe will be more, well, h ..read more

The (Mostly) Sustainable Autumn/Winter Capsule Wardrobe 2022

I write my first sentence in a year to you as a little (naughty) cherub excitedly chases a cat beneath my legs. Needless to say, my life looks a little different these days. It’s been a year, and I took a much longer absence from blogging than I expected (otherwise known as a full-year maternity leave). If I am honest, I haven’t really known how to ‘come back.’ Becoming a parent is a funny thing; I both feel exactly the same as I did before (quite frankly a relief), but also, my life pre-baby feels like a distant memory. Did I used to go out for dinner all the time? Now ..read more

Packing Light: What to Pack for a 4 Day Summer Babymoon in Greece

Another season, another procrastinate my capsule wardrobe posts, hello packing post. This time, Nick and I are off to Greece, relishing in a (mini) babymoon as a last European hurrah before I am too big to travel. I guess, technically, this is also a honeymoon that we never got to enjoy the first time around. Either way: it’s an adults-only resort, pool-and-beach aplenty, I want to feel like a glamazon kind of vacation. Which, if you’ve indulged in any of my former travel posts, is unlike us. We are usually the “lets make vacations stressful!” kind of people, jumping ..read more
