hi all, maybe kinda weird questuion, but i recall that the capacity of a compressor its limited by the temperature range, for example a low temperature compressor has about 1/3 of its full capacity, like a 12,000btu compressor just has a capacity of about 4,000 btu (i dont recall the exact capacities changes), im just saying numbers i know for every compressor the data sheet will give me this number, but my real question its the capacity its limited due the total gas on it or its limited for the temperature ranges?, what would happen its i have a 12,000 btu compressor working at 28F with a co ..read more

I saw a refrigerated air dryer unit from China use an LBP compressor. Usually an HBP compressor is used in said application. The compressor burnt out in just 2 years. Has anyone else seen this elsewhere? submitted by /u/Fr4zz13 [visit reddit] [comments ..read more

True reach in mechanical cold control(Reversing condenser fan?)

True TUC-60-LP iced up I just unplugged for a return to check it out further. Customer has had a new compressor and thinking about replacing before much more work just want to get some input. Mechanical cold control has adjustable cut in and cut outs. It jas a defrost timer that only reverses condenser fan in defrost. Currently the fan was pulling air though coil. Is that normal fan op? Thanks for any help? submitted by /u/Sweet_Tea761 [visit reddit] [comments ..read more

Had a Manitowoc Ice Machine with a 1/4 drain line (with no vent) that was backing up into the overflow reservoir and the customer was mad when I said we had to charge our min charge ($320) for coming out. It was a fun day. Guess he didn't notice the big diagram on the back of the unit showing how it should drain. submitted by /u/bd585 [visit reddit] [comments ..read more

Any good tips and advice on how to train younger techs? Study material recommendations? We have several green techs that are willing to work but have no knowledge base.
