I currently have 1,557,166BTC=27.841,23 dollars. And I have a transfer right now at Blockchain. And this is like the sixth time, in the last two months, that I've had a transfer, and was unable to receive none of it. And this withdrawal will be my very first, and I have a back payment that they have been trying to help me complete. But I am unable to because, Everytime I scan the QR code to send the $65 in Bitcoin, whenever the next page pulls up there is always a message at the bottom of the page, that says, I don't have enough coins in the account. And it suggests that I input other numbers ..read more

Exact witness requirements for a segwit transaction with P2PKH and P2WPKH inputs

Segwit transactions can mix segwit and non-segwit inputs: Segwit transaction from mixed addresses (segwit and non-segwit) Can I build a raw segwit transaction with no segwit inputs? But how exactly are the non-segwit inputs accounted for, if at all, in the witness of a transaction with both P2PKH and P2WPKH inputs? Is a new stack item created for all inputs (non segwit included)? If so, does a 0x00 have to be added to the P2PKH input's stack item size field to indicate an input with no witness data (the P2KH input), or is it ignored completely? Is there an example transaction on the mainnet ..read more

I am trying to understand what scriptsigsize is. If I look at this transaction, the scriptsigsize of the first input would be "fdf501"? If I convert it to decimal, it cannot be the scriptsigsize as the number being too big. It must mean something else? https://mempool.space/tx/76f268719c41dd5ccf693e84cd0c05cfb6b360fe3158f3311712eb6118c00d7a If I throw this to a Transaction Splitter, here is the output: { "version": "01000000", "inputcount": "07", "inputs": [ { "txid": "ece6b5e31d3cd1b9c06f1f270175a5d9106a61bcea2afa9954f02ff6701fd29f", "vout": "06000000", "scriptsig ..read more

How should I handle cases like this where the documentation for Bitcoin Core states one thing, and the actual program does something else?

Bitcoin Core's RPC API call "getnewaddress" is documented here: https://bitcoincore.org/en/doc/0.18.0/rpc/wallet/getnewaddress/ It claims: Result: "address" (string) The new bitcoin address In other words, it is supposed to return an associative array containing only the element 'address' which is a string representing the new Bitcoin receive address. However, it actually returns just an "untitled" string without an array/object. It's just a plain string immediately outputted, not wrapped in any array/object/container. Perhaps this is what they mean by "(string)", but it sure looks to me tha ..read more
