We're having a major ant problem in my house, and ant baits have helped in the past but after using one in my bathroom, I only noticed a shortage of ants for about a few days before they came back tenfold. It seems no matter how many we put in there, they keep coming.
Now, they're in my bedroom. I've put a trap down and within an hour they all swarmed it and still are. How do I ensure this works? Should I replace the trap tomorrow, or leave it? Or when should I remove it? I just want to make sure I get these nasty little things away since they're all over my floors and they keep crawling on m ..read more

Have a partner or family member who's difficult to shop for? Tell them you already got them a gift well ahead of time and prompt them to guess what the gift might be. If they play ball, they'll give you some reasonable ideas for gifts they probably won't hate!
And if they do hate it, at least it might be a fun joke to reveal how you got the idea.

I've used soap/water/scrub brush, and that did SOME good, but my wife wants it totally gone. Only issue is no bleach, which would damage the rock, and she wants something organic/nontoxic.

Our pantry space is limited, and I'm in dire need of some clever storage solutions to maximize every inch.
Any tips or hacks for making the most out of a small pantry? Whether it's stackable containers, hanging organizers, or a brilliant labeling system, I'm all ears!
Thanks in advance for the lifesaving advice!

Hi everyone, usually I'm one to google and the issue gets dealt with but it's gotten to the point where I need others input. I also don't really know where to post this on Reddit either. My boyfriend and I moved into an apartment and the first 2 days were fine, no bugs no nothing. We've been here for almost a month now and every day we are killing about 10-20 gnats. I have done everything google states at this point: putting bleach down all the drains, putting boiling hot water down them, made sure the garbage disposal doesn't have stuff sitting in the sink, Apple cider vinegar, water, sugar an ..read more

Hello,
I just moved to a new apartment and notice that there is still tape left on some windows.
The building is done last year, but this tape on the windows might be installed even earlier.
I tried scratching, but it comes off in very small pieces and I don't want to damage the window.
I want to try with Scalpel or to clean with some detergent/alchocol.
Do you have any suggestion with what to try?

I have a really old photo of my great grandparents that I've been wanting to transfer to a new picture frame. I realized today that the photo itself is stuck onto the glass of the old picture frame and I'm not sure how to remove it.
I don't have any copies of this photo at all so I need to be super careful. Any tips are appreciated!
EDIT: not sure how I forgot to mention this originally but the glass of the old picture frame is actually cracked which is why I wanted to replace it, and also why I have to be more careful about this process since I'm unable to photocopy

Drill a hole in the lid of the new plastic cans to make it work with the paint stick. Because the provided lid only works on the metal paint cans. (We saved money not buying an empty metal can, and a trip to the hardware store, AGAIN!)
