In June 2023, the International Brain Tumour Alliance (IBTA) in collaboration with the American Brain Tumor Association (ABTA) organised a symposium in Vienna, Austria for patient advocates on brain metastases. Leaders of major cancer patient advocacy organisations attended from the fields of breast cancer, lung cancer, kidney cancer, melanoma and brain tumours to discuss the unmet needs of the metastatic brain tumour population.
