A Japanese restaurant around the corner from us - a delight to find and visit each time.
It is set back from the road and go slowly you might miss it. There is the choice to sit outside and smoke but we have always sat inside with the air-conditioning.
The menu is not extensive but there are also photographs of dishes on the wall - I love going because I have an iced cold beer and my wife takes care of the ordering.
Again we were impressed with the food, the service and the price.

We popped in here whilst we were waiting for the Bunny Sweet Home to open.
And frankly speaking I am glad that none of us were hungry and the rabbits were great fun.

Harmonique was a wonderful find on a walking trip though Bangkok - John Bush and more.
What an amazing place to find! Walking along the back streets and then a sign and an old building
- time for a coffee then (next time food).
It clearly has a lot of history to the restaurant and unfortunately I can find nothing.
There is a tree growing in the building and the restaurant is very popular with the Chinese Tourist currently.
Definitely worth visiting to have a look at the number of historical artifacts which are scattered throughout the rooms ..read more

My father was here so it was a very good excuse to have a cheese fondue for dinner - and it was only around the corner - which did make it all the better.
It was delicious and the bread was continually replaced, great service - well there was nobody else there...
The deep fried brie was also very nice.
Then it was time for the chocolate fondue - by this time I had my fill but the kids loved it.

Odds Rock Steak was somewhere air-conditioned and convenient for me to visit after I had been on a trip on the river.
It looked like it was more of a Steakhouse in the evening but quiet in the day and I had a very pleasant green curry.
If it was convenient then I would visit again but not if I had to travel to it.

Lord of Coffee is closer to our home than the centre of Bangkok,
in fact I cycle there after having my haircut!
What a pleasant surprise - seating outside and I chose this because it was relatively cool this time. The coffee and the cake were both very nice and complimented each other - the coffee not too strong and not in need of sugar (or maybe it was the cake).
Was so impressed I bought some of these for my daughter.

Petit Peyton Traveloque Cafe was somewhere which I gratefully stumble upon when I was attempting - Bangkok Walk 5 - Rattanoskin.
Wow it was impressive - friendly service and happy staff and I was only there for a coffee!
The Cafe is very European in design - I only noticed the name when I sat down!
Certainly going back there for lunch - the food looks attractive and I read that the Panini is made there and it's a hostel.

Sammakorn Market is where we usually go to buy a few bits and pieces; clothes, fruit, DVD, shoes and a lot more - but today it was time for breakfast. And wow this was certainly a good breakfast it's at the back of the market amongst a great number of them.
This was above where you can sit but many people take theirs away in a plastic bag.
Choose the dish you want - there were only these two at this place.
Then add all those extra bits - a delicious breakfast / start of the day...
