Our Pit pup is in the middle of her period. We think she’s 6-8 months old? We weren’t prepared for it to happen as we thought she was a bit younger. Any advice is welcome! Thanks..

My large 10-year-old male husky has thrown up around 4 times today. 2 times it was just clear sticky fluid (not really foamy, only a little bit was foamy), the other 2 times it was clear sticky fluid with what I would assume to be the entirety of his dinner last night in addition to these weird thick clear things... I have no idea what they are, the best way I can describe it is “mucus sacks” with light pink bits in it. I wish I could post a picture of it for clarity, I can’t find anything online that seems similar. I really have no clue. He seems tired as well. He has also pooped more times ..read more

There were Easter Lilies in my home for about 24hrs with my cats, a few hours they were left unattended. It's been 17hrs since I removed the flowers. There were no signs that the plants were eaten or messed with and both cats have not shown any of the typical signs of sickness/poisoning.
I guess my question is, how long should I keep observing them before we're in the clear? I have been in non stop panic mode...
Info: 4 y/o American Shorthair litter mates. One male, one female. both fixed. 12 & 11 pounds. Located in south east united states. Historically, the boy cat will mess with things ..read more

With spring here I’ve been planting a variety of new plants in the garden but I’m concerned about them being toxic to my cats. I have 3 cats and to my knowledge they don’t go munching on the plants outside but I’m still worried. What are your thoughts on keeping possibly toxic plants in the garden?

My dog (female just turned 10) has a very cracked nose. It’s dry on the top (where the cracks are) and she doesn’t like when we touch it. Since she’s an older dog I’m wondering if I should put vitamin E on it (which I do with my lips) or see a vet.
I’ll put a photo down here.

My 14 year old house cat has had diabetes for 6 months. He receives 2 injections of insulin each day. He's also on Zobaline. He has been responding very well to the treatments.
For 3 days now, he's been constipated and eating very little. We took him to the vet, he suggested the following: hydration pill, antibiotic pill, and reducing the insulin injections to half doses. He also suggested that if our cat doesn't poop this weekend, he will need an enema.
Why was antibiotic prescribed? From the little I can find online on this topic, it seems antibiotics can actually worsen constipation. And I ..read more

I know i know… many of you have told me to spay abort, but her mucus plug came in before her appointment, which means labor is imminent and she’ll be giving birth in the next 24 hours, probably before, because she started showcasing nesting behavior, she’s been scratching her cardboard and sleeping in it. (I hate how she didn’t like the place i set up for her)
I’m a bit nervous, but hopefully everything will be alright, please do tell me if you have any tips that can help me out.
Edit 1: Her amniotic sac is visible, so the first kitten should be born in about 30 mins, there are no visible con ..read more

I think it means they’re fixed/spayed but I don’t like seeing it, it just feels unnecessary. Is it still common practice?
