I'm not asking for a low-maintenance pet, I understand that any pet will require lots of time and effort. I'm just asking which one would be the overall easiest to care for (in terms of money and general care). A dog or cat isn't an option by the way

Get ready to melt your heart with these cute little balls of fur! At 6 weeks old, these puppies are now ready to start a new journey with a loving family. Both parents and grandparents are available to meet, but there are no papers or shots provided. Contact me if you're interested in giving one of these cuties a forever home! And I can send pics

My ex boyfriend and I just broke up a few months ago and he is refusing to take his two older dogs (I have an older one as well). I love them, but they were his and it is hard having them here. I am not going to let them go to the pound or shelter. No way. I am also not planning on rehoming them but damn is this hard and unfair! I want a clean break but it is not their fault. Not looking for advice (although I will gladly take some good advice offered). Just wanted to get it off my chest

yesterday we found a kitty in my girlfriend's wheel well. she was really frightened by the landscapers in our apartment complex, and she was hungry, so we took her into our apartment. she is very cuddly and sweet. very comfy with us already. we are taking her to the vet today to scan her and see if she's chipped. if she isn't, we were gonna keep her. we are house sitting for my grandma, starting on sunday. we have to stay there for a week, overnights as well. we cant take her because we haven't had her thoroughly checked out yet, and my grandma has a senior cat and a hyperactive pug thats 2 ..read more

I've been mulling over something lately—responsibilities. You know, those pesky things that nag at you from the moment you wake up till you hit the pillow again. I'm in this weird space where I'm juggling work, relationships, and personal goals, and sometimes it feels like I'm dropping all the balls.
How do you all handle it? Any life hacks or strategies you swear by? I could use some wisdom here because, honestly, I'm drowning in to-do lists and deadlines. It's like adulting on expert mode, am I right? But hey, maybe we can swap stories and tips to make it a tad less overwhelming. So, hit me ..read more

I recently lost a cat that was very dear to me. I have 3 cats at home who have become my family. But the cat in question is not one of them.
I took care of a little ginger cat under my office building ever since he was a few weeks old, he had two siblings who stopped showing up but he stayed.
I wanted to take him home, but everyone kept saying he was happy in the outdoors. Our office building has a big parking space and a garden next to it, so he was hanging out there all day playing. It felt wrong to put him in a closed apartment.
So instead, I made him a little box out of a cooler box, he h ..read more

I noticed this behaviour when we first rescued him years ago. It seemed worse then, but he still does it every time he drinks from the water dish.
Whenever he drinks, his paws twitch. Mostly his front two paws. But sometimes the back ones, too. His legs will kick out uncontrollably. He cannot drink while it’s happening, or he will lose his balance. It always mellows out though and he always gets his fill. I’m just curious about it.
Could it be his whiskers touching the bowl or something? The dish is similar to his food bowl & he doesn’t do it with that. It doesn’t seem to be the temperatu ..read more

Basically we thought this kitten was a stray and took her to the vet to check if she was chipped which she wasn’t and also too young to be fixed so we decided to let her stay at our house but kept the door open incase she decided to go home wherever that was- that same night the neighbor is looking for her and so we give her back but since then (it’s been a week) the kitten comes over every day in the afternoon and plays with my cats toys and sometimes eats his food (or my daughters bread crusts we throw out for the birds in the morning) and then leaves after an hour or so. But tonight my hus ..read more
