Anyone who follows my blog, knows that I love to travel, and have a particular passion for Italy. When I’m not traveling abroad, I search for places closer to home to visit, and one of my favorite destinations is Key West, only a six-hour drive from home. Some travelers go for the wild nightlife and drinking, but I enjoy the natural beauty on an island which is also conducive to relaxation. As a Christmas gift to each other, Richard and I left for a two-night getaway and had a fantastic time, despite the lack of sun for ninety-five percent of the time. Has it really been seven months since I wrote and published a blog post? I’m embarrassed to say that it’s true. You may wonder what happened, but the good news is that nothing bad occurred to cause my absence from this site. To say I have been busy may sound like the kind of excuse we’ve all heard before. Believe me, though,  in this instance, it truly is an understatement. Since my last post, I have released my latest novel, the award-winning thriller, ABSOLUTE REVENGE, as an audiobook, and returned to Italy, this time with my eighteen-year-old twin granddaughters. As you might expect ..read more

Camogli, Italy Four weeks in Italy. Sounds like a dream, right? Well, it was. Lufthansa flight in Miami We had the best time revisiting some favorite places like Venice and experiencing new ones, like Treviso and Camogli. Since we arrived in Italy at the end of March, we expected colder weather, but it was colder than normal, but coming from Florida, we knew enough not to bring any warm-weather clothing. We were prepared, and we wore leggings under our pants, UnderArmour, scarves, jackets, hats, and gloves. We were not going to let anything get in the way of a good time. Venice in the col ..read more

It’s been five years since I traveled to Italy. Like so many of you,I was forced to cancel my travel plans for 2020, due to the pandemic, which seemed to last forever. Once travel to Europe became possible again, I had taken on the responsibilities of caring for my elderly parents in my home, which became my priority, as well as a blessing and a privilege. It was truly a joy to have them with me during the last stages of their lives. Ever since I became an adult, travel has been such an integral component of my DNA, and I feel fortunate to have visited Italy almost every year, beginning in 2 ..read more
