American Iron Magazine, published since 1989, has suspended publication.
The world has changed significantly. The motorcycle business has changed. And the magazine industry has too. Unfortunately, not for the better – short or long term.
For the last 31 years our team has worked hard responding successfully to the trends, opportunities and changes. But when our advertising crashed with the recent spread of the virus, we ran out of options. We trimmed the page count and content in our magazines, but that was not enough to make a difference.

DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. Due to COVID-19 regulations in the areas surrounding Allen County Fairgrounds in Lima, OH, the promoters of the Lima Half-Mile have had to postpone its doubleheader race dates scheduled for Friday, July 31 and Saturday, August 1, 2020.

Back in 2011, the American Iron staff faced a major dilemma. What were we going to call our yet-to-be-released publication dedicated to tech and home-built bikes for handy do-it-yourselfers?

Due to local health department restrictions related to the coronavirus pandemic, the 2020 AMA Hillclimb Grand Championship has been canceled. This year’s amateur national championship, organized by the Valley Springs Motorcycle Club, had been scheduled for August 7–9 at the club’s grounds in Bay City, Wisconsin.
The club will host the 2021 edition of the AMA Hillclimb Grand Championship on a date to be determined.

Indian FTR 1200
Indian Motorcycle will be giving Harley-Davidson some competition with what is looking to be its foray into the world of electric motorcycles, judging by the company filing a trademark application for the name “EFTR.” The EFTR name is intended for electric motorcycles, per the application that was filed with the US Patent and Trademark Office, and also indicates that it will be an electric version of the modular FTR 1200.
