Organdi ran a cracking race to be fourth yesterday in the three and a half mile handicap chase.  Looking magnificent in the paddock and winning ‘best turned out’ thanks to the efforts of Vicki Atkins – Organdi travelled and jumped well throughout the race and stayed on gamely up the Prestbury hill to give the Beautiful People a day to remember. She is clearly still enjoying her racing and loves good ground therefore we will look for another race for her in May when hopefully she can get her head in front once again.  Having won every year for the last six years, it would be great to ..read more

We have declared Organdi at Cheltenham on Wednesday in the three-and-a-half-mile handicap chase.  She will be carrying joint top weight therefore Finn Lambert will ride and take off three pounds.  Finn rode her on Boxing Day at Market Rasen and got on well with her.  Hopefully the ground will continue to dry out as she appears in good form at home. Elfride ran respectably considering she was out of the weights in the three mile handicap hurdle at Chepstow on Saturday.  Jumping well for Harry Atkins, she stayed on at one pace over the last two flights and I am sure she can b ..read more

We have declared Fighting Poet and Urban Champion at Southwell tomorrow evening.  Fighting Poet makes his debut for The Adlestrop Club and has been placed on the all weather for us in the past.  Kaiya Fraser who gets on well with him takes the ride and claims five pounds.  He appears in good form although as ever the opposition is pretty strong. Urban Champion ran well on his last appearance at the track and although once again this is a tricky contest, Clifford Lee takes the ride and hopefully he will build on his last run. Elfride has been declared in the mares handicap hurdle ..read more

We were pleased with The Last Drop’s run at Southwell on Thursday.  She settled well in behind the leaders off a pretty slow pace and it turned into a bit of a sprint from the home turn.  This did not suit her but she galloped on up the straight in game style to be beaten eight lengths by the winner in what looks to be a competitive event.  Finn Lambert reported that she was very genuine and would prefer some better ground.  We will now go hurdling with her and I am sure she will provide a lot of fun for The Littles. With Warwick being off, Elfride was unable to take u ..read more

Picanha was an excellent third at Haydock on Saturday in the Challenger Series Stayers Final.  He stayed on well in the straight having taken a bit of time to warm up in the race but once again showed his consistency in running on after the last and he has been placed in every race he has run for us.  We look forward to him beginning his chasing career soon and hope to find some safe ground for him in April and May. Ned Cash (pictured) runs today in the 1.05pm at Huntingdon – a novices hurdle over two miles.  We have been waiting for better ground for him and hopefully cond ..read more

A fabulous victory for Totterdown at Huntingdon yesterday.  Setting a decent pace throughout, he jumped with great enthusiasm and saw off the opposition in fine style for a memorable win.  Finn Lambert set the fractions perfectly and lost his five pound claim in the process. The race replay can be viewed here: It was so good to have so many members of the Adlestrop Club present to witness the famous win.  Thank you for all the messages we have received – he certainly has got a large fan club and looks magnificent at the age of thirteen. His breeders Sue Jones and partners have ..read more

Totterdown is declared at Huntingdon tomorrow in the two mile handicap hurdle run at 2.52pm.  He will have top weight as it is a drop down in class for him and Finn Lambert will once again take five pounds off his back. He was a course and distance winner in his younger days and he appears in good form although the race includes one or two younger models with good recent form. It was great to welcome so many owners during Cheltenham week and as ever the Festival produced many great moments.  I was fortunate enough to attend yesterday to see a fantastic Gold Cup with Galopin Des Champ ..read more

Little Big Kev ran a very promising race at Huntingdon yesterday finishing a pleasing third.  He travelled well to the straight and stayed on nicely under pressure to be beaten five lengths by the winner.  Finn Lambert reported he would appreciate better ground and has plenty of potential.  Hopefully he looks like rewarding his owner Ed Ware’s patience.  We will look for another bumper for him in a few weeks time where conditions should suit him better. Kev’s owner had an excellent second in the opener at the Festival yesterday with Jimmy Du Seuil and has plenty to look for ..read more

Elfride appeared to have been in season on returning from her race at Hereford on Saturday.  She didn’t finish her race as normal and this could well have been the reason why.  With the daffodils appearing and the weather getting a bit warmer, this is not uncommon with mares and we look forward to running her when she is not in season. Little Big Kev (pictured) is declared in the bumper at Huntingdon on Wednesday.  We have been searching for some better ground for him and typically it has rained more than forecast at the course over the weekend.  However we have declared hi ..read more

Urban Champion didn’t appear to get the trip according to Kieran Shoemark at Kempton on Wednesday evening.  He broke from the stalls better and although still keen, he travelled well until two out and hopefully a shorter trip will be the answer to him. We have declared Elfride at Hereford tomorrow in the three miles one furlong handicap hurdle.  She ran well on heavier ground at Lingfield recently and the drying ground should help her cause.  There are plenty of runners and it looks competitive but hopefully promising conditional Oscar Palmer who claims seven pounds, will ensure ..read more
