1st: Fujifilm Finepix T500 (2013, 16mp; Dead battery, unusable currently. The pictures are alright in good lighting, good zoom (12x), but bad photos at night (like with the rest of the cameras, really). Don’t particularly recommend it but it’s okay for the value) 2nd: Sony Cyber-shot DSC-W190 (2009, 12.1mp; I like it better than the Fujifilm, despite it being older and having a max zoom of 3x; wide aspect ration of the default photos that I really like. I can recommend it; also the videos are alright.) 3rd: Panasonic VDR-D50 camcorder (2009, “standard video quality”; Honestly, quite good ..read more

I don’t know much about cameras, but I came here to see if anyone knows how to fix this. My colors are changing in between takes, this is the same lighting and backdrop. Anyone know if there’s a setting I can turn off or something or is iPhone just like that? submitted by /u/billy-onety-one [visit reddit] [comments ..read more

Beginner cameras?

Hello! I’m wanting to get into photography and was wondering if the a6000 is a good beginner camera? And how much exactly should I expect to pay for a body and lenses? I’ve been looking online for used equipment and see body’s go from 350$ and up, sometimes 600-700 with somewhat of a kit on eBay is that good? Or is their cheaper places? I also saw a FM seller with a 5 star review(more than 30 items sold) selling an a6000 with a 16-50 and a 55-210 for like 300 bucks should I pull the trigger on that like immediately?? I’m also open to other cameras :) submitted by /u/Rakuccon [visit reddit ..read more

Information about modern and recent camera autofocus for macro photography.

Hi, it's my first time using reddit forgive me if I'm doing something wrong. I would like some information about modern camera autofocus. I'm currently using a nikon D5000 and for now my main focus is macro photography, I'm currently using a af-s micro nikkor 105mm f2.8. I don't have any particular problem with this settup, I managed to take picture that I really like, using manual focusing only because the camera just wont focus on close subjects. That being said I don't count the number of shots that came out blurry because I moved a tiny bit and the subject was not in the focal plane anymo ..read more

Fuji vs Sony system setup, which would you choose?

If you had to start your full photosystem today from scratch. Not focusing on a body but only on lens setup which one would you choose (and why)? I'm a fan of 35mm, so to keep the Sony system in around the same price I went with 35 gm but a simple 85 (which does the job just good enough). Both around 4k in total. https://preview.redd.it/9j8jp3tmq3vc1.png?width=1991&format=png&auto=webp&s=a1cfe7f99b4940cfeba74e36fc187c0cf7019622 submitted by /u/Intelligent-Ad3941 [visit reddit] [comments ..read more

Hi, I'm thinking of getting a NIKON ZF. I'm curious if the autofocus on some of my old lenses, like the Nikon AF NIKKOR 85mm f/1.8 will work with the FTZ converter? submitted by /u/ourkid1781 [visit reddit] [comments ..read more

So I've been looking for a camera for a bit now, and now I got this Dynax 500i.... My uncle knocked on my door earlier today (I'd talked to him about looking for a second hand first camera and stuff) and apparently he had this one stored away in his wardrobe, he figured he wasn't gonna use it, and gave it to me! He said everything worked last time he checked and it looks to be in good condition, haven't checked it too thoroughly tho. Already ordered some Kodac Colourplus 200! So yeah, you know, not to look gifted horse in the mouth or anything, but is it any good? Don't know much about th ..read more
