Hello there! My first entry here.
I haven’t had a smoke-free day in a long time (years, at least). Managed to quit drinking which was problematic but not life-threathning about a month ago with amazing help&support of r/stopdrinking.
I’m curiously and cautiously peeking my nose to smell the atmosphere here.
Let’s see where this path leads me.

I am doing good day 3 and been coughing up a lot of yellow phlegm. Really it is like day 5 because I did 2 days, messed up, did 3 days so I think all that time made a little difference but I have been coughing really up a lot tar and yellow phlegm like a brownish yellow mucus I coughing up from my lungs I trying to repair my heart and lungs all the way I want to be brand new again
The key is to give up on being a sad person who smokes and let their sadness be an excuse that's how I was.
I can't afford to be sad.
I have to quit now because my life depends on it.

Hey guys,
This may sound a little crazy, but I have been completely nicotine free for 61 days now and I'm still having waves of depression and anxiety since quitting. To be honest, they are really starting to get to me and it feels like they wont go away. Has anyone here felt this before? I'm trying to see if this is normal or if I should seek some professional advice.
PS: I have no mental health history and these symptoms only occurred after quitting nicotine.

3 weeks in and I'm definitely feeling a lot better! The insomnia has completely gone, the random burst of crying has calmed down to only now and again, the dizziness is still there but very much in the background! Irritability has definitely got better! Overall I can breath, and I'm not getting out of breath as quickly as I used to!
I haven't really thought about smoking much tbh, it's only been now and again when part of my routine of having a ciggie comes up! I have to say apart from the withdrawal symptoms I can understand why Alan Carr told me it would be easy! I hope everyone else is do ..read more

Gonna quit starting in the morning tomorrow. I’ve got a long day at work where I can’t escape to get cigarettes. I know I’ll be irritated and feeling shitty, I don’t care, I’m done, sick of being addicted to various things. Any advice is appreciated thanks!
