Hi, I've been on a quest 2/3 for almost my entire Time with VR. Recently, I decided I wanted to make an actual dedicated PC setup. Mainly because of the compression and latency PCVR the quest 3 can have. I'm eyeing the PSVR 2 when that finally gets its full PC support and adapter released, though cautiously optimistic as if the adapter also causes compression and latency there wouldn't be a point in upgrading in the first place. Given that, are there any good headsets still in production that could work as a backup plan?

For my work I need to measure all the structures in an existing building. Wall length, height and thickness. I need to calculate the amount of concrete in the building.
AR might be a wonderful tool for this, but is there a way?

Hi everyone! I am looking to get the Bobovr S3 strap. Understand that it has a wire to connect to the front. I am assuming its to charge the swapable battery?
I am going to go wired on Quest 3 and will be buying the official link cable.
So my question is if I am playing wired i don't need to connect the usb c cable that is on the S3 Pro right I can just use the link cable to charge the swappable battery correct?

Which looks better playing? Because I see videos of people using there valve and the quality looks great, but then online it says the resolution is better on the quest 2, but when I play my quest 2 on pcvr the quality is terrible and it looks awful. I was thinking of maybe looking into getting a valve index for cheap second hand, so I thought I’d check first if the quality was better. I also came to ask, there are rumours of a valve index 2 coming soon, would it be worth while to wait and see if it comes out first?

I've been looking all over for it, but can't find a valid download link. I know the official download link was taken down, but I'd still like to play it.

I was thinking about how full body tracking could be improved.
I knew base station tracking/camera tracking had problems with occlusion. And IMU trackers had problems with slowly drifting over time, as well as "floaty" looking full body tracking.
So I thought combining these two types of tracking together would solve the issue of occlusion, drift, and floaty tracking all at once by combining the data from these types of tracking. (If that is possible)
Obviously, this would have downsides though like less battery life, larger and heavier trackers, and of course very expensive. But at the same ..read more

I'm in the market for a around 500ish dollar headset and I was thinking likely quest 3 or Valve index, I was wondering if I could get some second opinions on people who know way more than me on this topic or if I should be looking at something else, thanks.
