I've seen the lines outside Black Star Pastry and heard its' tales. We've had a taste at Spectrum now and it has left us yearning and itching for more. I am usually a sharing person, but after my first bite at Spectrum now, every bone in my body wanted to shove the cake down my throat so my partner couldn't get to it. Watermelon is one of my favourite fruits and I eat cake on a regular basis. This is just sheer genius. It's sophisticated, it's decadent, it's refreshing... it's every watermelon lover's dream. You need to try their watermelon cake AT LEAST once. Sam and I have been going to way too many food events and being a little bit greedy when it comes to eating. We've been eating till we get stick. As a part of September being Organic Awareness month (I honestly think every month should be organic awareness month!!! I try and buy organic whenever I can and whenever my wallet allows me), here's a recipe using all organic products. I have a sweet tooth, and my night routine consists of ice cream every single day. This has now changed. Let me introd ..read more

We were recently lucky to have been invited to a Dry July Mocktail Masterclass. The event was set in Manta Restaurant by the wharf, a gorgeous location for some thirst quenching mocktails with none other than Fast Ed from Better Homes and Gardens. Dry July is an initiative that we have seen time and time again, but we didn't know too much about it... Fast Ed did a fantastic job at explaining the aim and purpose of the program. 1.LAU PA SAT Lau Pa Sat is located fairly close to Marina Bay Sands, you can take the MRT to Raffles Place, check out the Merlion and walk to Lau Pa Sat (Approximately 15mins walk). I personally feel that Lau Pa Sat is a food centre targeted at white collar workers in the offices nearby, therefore prices here are a little bit higher than some of the other food centres (by that I mean a dollar or two). There's a wide range of stalls and the adjacent street get blocked off to become "Satay Street" opens from 7pm till late. Address 18 Raffles Quay Singapore 048582 RECOMMENDED AT LAU PA SAT ..read more

I am a lover of retro and vintage looking electronics, we've been using our ridiculous $30 kettle from K-Mart for a while now. Pitango Meal Pots for One!
The Weekend Foodie
by
3y ago
Lunch time at work is one of my least favourite times, if I have time, I'd go to a cafe and end up paying at least $15-20 as city cafes often over charge, most days I'd end up having endless large hot chocolates or I'd bring sloppy left overs from the night before. My lunch definitely needed saving. Thankfully, Pitango released their new range of Meal Pots for One! These pots are designed for busy workers who don't have time for lunch (me me me!). Pitango pots are filled with fresh, natural ingredients with exciting flavours and a shelf life of 30 days. Spanish Chorizo Ch ..read more
