This piano piece is a  beautiful miniature by the Finnish composer Jean Sibelius. Le Sapin, or the “The Fir” or “The Spruce” is from a larger set of 5 piano pieces called The Trees (Op. 75). We don’t often think of Sibelius as a piano composer, but he has some real gems that are extraordinarily beautiful and ought to be heard more often!
