Hi, I am very new so apologies if this is a naive question. I have a small position in NVO that I would like to add to in near future. Company is well managed, expanding its manufacturing capacity to meet demand in a growing market which is all positive. Also new, even more effective than Ozempic oral pill in the pipeline. Some consider stock overpriced at current level but when compared to LLY it seems reasonable. The main thing that prevents me from buying is a sell off by insiders in the recent months. Nobody's buying, quite a few sold. Would this be a valid reason to hold on and wait for ..read more

Hi! I am an ex-prop trader that trades equities.
This is a daily watchlist for trading. I might trade all of the stocks on here, or none of them, on any given day. I might trade stocks that don't appear on here! I hold no positions in any stocks long-term but Amazon/Mag7/general broad market indices. (unless otherwise noted in these tickers).
I usually make these watchlists premarket, (or from 6:30 to 7 as time permits), but can be delayed if I'm trading the open. These aren't mean to be taken as gospel or any recommendation to buy/sell. Many stocks I post are <$500M market cap. Most are N ..read more

Full time jobs decreasing: https://fred.stlouisfed.org/series/LNS12500000 Multiple job holders increasing: https://fred.stlouisfed.org/series/LNS12026620
It seems job report data has unemployment under 4%, but it seems most of the new jobs are part time / 2nd jobs. In fact the number of multiple job holders has been increasing, which could be seen as more of a negative than positive.
Full time jobs have actually been falling the past few months.
It seems layoffs were restricted to tech at first, but have been spreading to other sectors as of late.
Curious on thoughts about this, am I missing ..read more

Note: Not Financial Advice
Introduction:
MA is one of the duopoly in the card network business. The card network business is a unique model that heavily rewards first mover advantage, with large barriers to entry due to the large fixed cost associated with setting up POS, achieving large merchant acceptance locations, and gaining the trust of major financial institutions. The card network business has large potential but also large hurdles to overcome, with regulators and competitors all eyeing a piece of MA's business.
Market:
APAC and some EMEA have one of the lowest credit card penetration ..read more

I don’t know what this means exactly but after doing some quick research it sounds like they’re trying to redeem the notes early to pay less in the long run because of the interest?
They’re also trying to repay up to 800 million to reduce their debt levels. That’s what I understand from the second part. Is that correct?
I apologise if I sound stupid but I’ve had a look for some of the terms and I’m just not able to wrap my head around them! I think it’s good, less debt is a good thing but do these “notes” mean that more shares are issued and bring more dilution?

And it was up to $295 yesterday... I used to hold the stock, and I sold it yesterday after hearing the news. But I don't understand why would it cost more than the acquisition price? Usually, stocks edge a little below the acquisition price so that they price in the probability that the deal won't go through and opportunity cost. But in the case of Encore Wire, it's above. I don't get it. Is it shorts covering? Is it pricing in the probability that someone else will suddenly acquire it for a higher price?
