Does anyone else have the perfect pattern, that looks fantastic no matter how many times you make it? Marian Martin 9014 is definitely that vintage pattern for me – I’ve made it three times and they all look fantastic (not to mention comfortable. I was inspired to make a navy and red one after Jakk got me this fabulous 1940s style belt from Working Dogs and Sons! I really love the effect the bound buttonholes give on the bust (worth the effort!) and rayon twill means it’s perfect for our Sydney weather. Today is the last day for Curvy Month! I really wanted to save a special knit for last – The Spectator. It’s classic 40s look and generous (for the time) sizing makes it a winning entry for Curvy Month. I really LOVE the cabled yoke effect across the upper chest, and cables instead of rib at the wrist and waist.
