Abigail Dolly Mixture Check Dress - c/o Emily and Fin Shoes - c/o Charlie Stone Shoes (a few years ago) Jumper - Old ( I think I've had it for five years) Another dress from one of my all time favourite brands, Emily and Fin. Checks make me think of winter even though this dress is nice and lightweight for the warmer weather. I have been layering it with chunky knitwear and the winter sun has been so lovely lately anyway (I also find my body runs pretty hot and I get so warm chasing my toddler around that being to snug is not ideal for me these days).  I'm wearing size 10 a ..read more

Dress c/o Emily and Fin Hat - Ghanda  Sandals - Porronet Long time no blog, I've been trying to get active on my blog again but life is busy with my 18 month old toddler and priorities change. Though I always did love having my own little corner on the internet to babble on about clothes for years and then pregnancy and life as a new mum.  Emily and Fin has always been one of my favourite clothing brands, the quality is always outstanding and the prints are always so cute. I love that they have a retro vibe but without it being too much of a retro/vintage style if ..read more

7 Months Post Partum

20 weeks - 36 weeks - 30 weeks old/7 Months Post Partum It always feels like an achievement these days to get a chance to sit at my computer for a couple of hours to sort photos (the many thousands of photos I take of Maddison), and what a treat it is to edit some and write a blog post too.  Motherhood is beautiful and busy, you really do have to be willing to give yourself entirely to a small human that becomes the center of your world. My baby is worth every second of my time and I love being there for her no matter how tired I am, making her feel happy, loved and comfo ..read more

Photos by mum Gumnuts Baby Romper and Gumnuts Adult Sweater - c/o Kip & Co x May Gibbs Thanks Adele Publicity for organising this collab for us! May Gibbs has always been a favourite of mine since forever and it's probably the once licensed brand that Maddison wears. I was super excited when I first saw pieces for this range, before I was even asked if I'd like to collaborate. I've never tried Kip & Co products but always like the look of them.  We were sent a romper and jumper to match each other and a playmat (which I will have more photos off in another blo ..read more

The Birth of our Daughter

On the 2nd of December 2020 our daughter entered the world in full force. I'm not sure if it is for some but labour is not glamorous, it truly is labour but very rewarding. The way the body grows, carries and births a baby is an amazing and beautiful thing. Our baby went almost two weeks past the due date and I was almost 42 weeks pregnant. By the end I was very tired but still felt reasonably good. I was booked for induction by one of my midwives when I was 39 or 40 weeks pregnant. I really hoped it would all occur naturally but little miss had no intention of leaving.  I didn ..read more

Photos by Chloe of Chloe Ludkin Photo Dress - Tigerlily Wattle Print Swaddle - c/o Botanical baby Long time, no blog. The past four months we have been living life as a family of three when our beautiful girl Maddison entered the world in December. It has been the most beautiful, tiring, and rewarding time in our lives. We always hoped one day that we would have a baby and we always imagined having a baby at this particular age/time in our lives. She is the greatest thing to happen to us. Even as a kid I always wanted to be a mum one day and I must say it is even better than I imagin ..read more

Our Wedding - Getting Ready Part 3: The Boys

When waiting for our wedding photos to come back, one thing I was really excited for was to see the boys photos and they did not disappoint!  Our rings -  My ring was my Great Grandmother's wedding ring from the 1920's. My mum kindly gave it to me. I wanted a simple gold band and I was lucky to be given a family heirloom that I had always loved but had never asked for. I have very small fingers so it was resized a couple of months beforehand. My engagement ring now needs a repair or slight redesign to strengthen the claws, I was thinking of ..read more

We though baby would be here by now but that's not the case, she has been making us wait but this is a normal gestation period for babies anyway and very common for first time mums.  I have not been stressed or worried, just excited to meet her. Everyday she does her usual movement routines which is always the main thing.  Week 40+ I felt pretty good except for suddenly having a really sore lower back, here I was thinking that it could be an early sign of labour but turns out this gal flipped around to be posterior with her spine on mine which was quite uncomforta ..read more

It has now been exactly a year since Max and I got married, at this point we had been together for almost 10 years. It was never something we ever wanted to rush into even though we always knew we would always be together but we knew we would always want to get married one day. Our wedding venue had to be changed 3 days before the wedding due to the devastating bush fires at the time, we were meant to get married on a mountain but changed to a local building near by that had just be renovated. We went through the local council and they were so helpful to arrange this last minute cha ..read more
