Distributed databases come out with many challenges for those who adopt it as new. To build up an enterprise distributed database from scratch, one should continuously put in the effort and make some wise decisions. You should not tamper the development speed and also have to make some long-term considerations for your team and the customers.
Three years into the market and two major releases in between, TiDB 2.0 is not a primarily accepted DB, which is deployed in more than 200 top-line companies. Their team answered many of the queries from the users regarding TiDB and the distribute ..read more

By: Charelle Bennett | @RellyB23 Times have certainly changed. Going to a Spice Girls concert in 1998 is drastically different from going to a Black Eyed Peas concert today, and not just because of the crazy outfits. There was one thing missing back then that we have everywhere today: social media. In an age where almost everything has gone virtual, it’s not surprising to find a room full of people at a conference on their smartphones typing away or swiping on their iPads like crazy.
The technology of social interaction has transformed the environment of a live event, conference, o ..read more

Every year, millions of crazy things permeate the internet - and every once in a while, one takes off. And when I say takes off, I don’t mean it lightly. I’m saying you can’t go on Facebook, Twitter or Instagram without seeing a post related to these trends. These are the types of trends you just can’t escape NO MATTER HOW HARD YOU TRY. Eventually, they die out, and something new becomes the main focus. But in the moment, there is no way to avoid them. (Unless you stay off of social media completely, but who are we kidding right?) Now - I'm ..read more

Instagram recently updated their API, or application program interface, to better address their users' concerns. Feedback from the community showed that Instagram users were unhappy with the current API, due to the fact they were unsure where exactly their content was being shared and viewed. These changes were first implemented in November of 2015. Any apps built before that time were grandfathered until today, June 1st, 2016. In that time, Instagram reviewed applications to be sure that they were in line with the new guidelines and terms.&n ..read more

There are many times that we social media content creators are tasked with covering things that are less exciting than a rescued panda’s first birthday. How do you rise above the competition at an eye care convention? How can daily content about insurance policies captivate an audience? How can you spice up a picture of the same menu item without hiring a professional photographer? I have tasked myself to prove that 7 iPhone apps can make the boring look un-boring.
Task: Create visual content in a seemingly content-less situation.

Social media is a powerful tool used by individuals to voice their opinions, whether good or bad. With this tool, word gets out fast and easily, so it is important for companies to know when and when not to let sleeping dogs lie in social care.
Preparation is key in any situation. You cannot control what people say about your brand, and often times you do not want to filter conversations about your brand so you can gain exposure. You want there to be as much conversation about your brand as possible showing the good, and even the bad. While you c ..read more

This morning our CEO, Eve Mayer, spoke at the Digital Summit Atlanta 2016 conference on two different topics: Hypertransparency and Social Care, and Trends in Search and Social. In Hypertransparency and Social Care, Eve talks on the importance of being transparent with your employees. She takes it one step further, introducing that this radical idea should also be used in social media. Eve defines hypertransparency as "an absolute commitment to truth" in all operations. In Trends in Search and Social, the roundtable group talks about the latest in social media and how it affects thos ..read more

Snapchat: the app that lets you chat, send pictures, and even cash. With all the new features Snapchat has added over the years, the team is in a continuous state of wonder as to what they could possibly roll out next. Although this particular update isn’t entirely new, it hasn't dimmed our anticipation.
Remember the sticker feature that Snapchat added back in March? It lets you send stickers to your friends via chat. Now those same stickers can be used on your Snaps!
