Hi all,
Currently studying towards my APM PMQ and getting a bit confused on how to answer describe vs explain questions. I have heard the describe a bike vs explain a bike example but it still seems vague when applied to exams.
For example, how would you answer describe the change request process vs explain the change request process?
Any help would be much appreciated!

Hi!
I've read multiple articles by Microsoft, yet still I can't fully grasp the different Project versions and what to expect from them. Please help me.
There is Project for the web, which is modern and slim, I guess?
There is Project Online, which also has a desktop client, and it's a bit older and has more functions.
There is the "local and standalone" software Project for Windows, which has the most features, but isn't very well equipped with web features.
Is that correct so far?
Now please help me understand: Which of the three is the most "future proof" for project managers to be? The wa ..read more

Small rant, but I got the Google PM certificate and been studying on the side for the CAPM, but as of now since August I've gone through 1k job apps. Granted this is a career change attempt from a restaurant gig, and I'm averaging about 20-30 apps a day. I had my resume looked at and they said it looked fine for what I have. Been looking mostly assistant, junior, scheduler, and coordinator positions, am I doing something wrong? Any advice is appreciated, even bad at this point.

I just started leading large program that is building a product to launch in November.
This product has 36 features that need to be built across 8 team units. By team units- 8 different departments have some type of development piece of the feature.
IE. Alerts and notifications feature touches mobile app team, cloud team, firmware team etc.
There are a ton of dependencies across the features and team units and I’m reaching out to see if anyone has any idea on how to best represent this in a program report for executives
I’m trying to capture: Feature status across each team unit , dependencie ..read more

My team performs bulk matches, uses fuzzy logic in order to find and generate quality leads for my company’s sales team. Does anyone have knowledge of ways build a more effective process through SFDC reporting?

Good day , I want some advice on a free program that can have around 10 colabs.
I have multiple projects at once and an excel list of action items.
Eg. Project 1 Task 1 Task 2
Project 2 Task 1 Task 2
I want to use some software that integrates with my calendar to keep my meetings from teams in one place.
Is jira or trello good for this? In the short term i want to get a calendar view from my list, curently in excel. Im open to use something else tho.

Hi there, I have nearly a decade's worth of experience in account and renewal management and having been recently laid off from my tech job, I'm at a crossroads. I am exhausted by the renewals/AM grind and considering more of a CSM role, but I've also always been interested in getting my PM certification. My question is- do my years of professional experience qualify me for the PMP cert or do I need to start with CAPM? Thanks in advance!

Short backstory, For the last 15 years I've worked as a manager in fine-dining restaurants while travelling a lot. A few months ago I figured it's time to take things seriously, so I got a daytime job, I tried my hand at my second passion, IT. I found a job as an IT engineer which suited me. Then a colleague who I guess was managing a few projects was fired and they asked if I could take over her tasks until they found a suitable replacement. After 4 months they said I was great in this job and asked if I wanted it. I said sure and they got a new IT engineer instead. However I feel a little b ..read more

At my former company, I did done basic PM. Conducted calls, sent out notes and had a basic project plan. I just got a PM job that follows the traditional PM. In the meantime, I have read some books, taken online classes, etc. Do you have any recommendations of books, tools, etc. that you would recommend.
