Cincinnati becomes alive in December. Downtown is filled with bright lights, ice skating, Christmas Village and much more. Many companies host Christmas parties for their employees, streets are filled with shoppers and there is music, theater and lively entertainment on the weekends everywhere. Conversa also has special activities. We will go to Fountain Square to ice skate on December 13. On December 5, 6 and 7 students are making Christmas ornaments to put on our Christmas Tree. Bockfest: Cincinnati’s Carnival!

Bockfest is Cincinnati’s equivalent of Carnival.  Bock is the German word for male goat but is a type of beer made by German monks that they drank during the lenten season to get additional nourishment during the long fast in preparation for Easter.   It’s celebrated the first weekend of March.  This year is the 25th anniversary.  The parade starts a block from Conversa and our students and teachers will be in the parade.  Come join us of a fun, crazy time.  There will be music, food, bock beer and many great floats in the parade.  Meet at Conversa at 5 pm.  For more information, see http://ww ..read more

American football is played in the fall and winter every year on a football field. It consists of four 15 minute periods with each team having 11 players on the field for each play. Each team tries to score by getting the football to the opposing team’s end zone by either running or passing the football. The National Football League (NFL) is made up of 32 teams that pay players ridiculous amounts of money to sacrifice their bodies every week to win a game.
