We spent almost 6 weeks with friends from Arizona this summer. HOUSTON MESA HORSE CAMP  This camp is located in Payson Arizona and opens the first of March. When coming through Payson the turn into the camp is right across from Home Depot. The regular camp is on the left side coming in but the Horse camp is on the right side. Beautiful campsites with large pull through for even the largest of rigs.  Trail head is at site 11. A few years ago we stumbled across a ranch in Southern Utah called Paria Canyon Guest Ranch it was going to be a one night stay on our way home from Arizona in the spring of 2014.  It was a cool little ranch at the bottom of the Grand Staircase Escalante next to the Paria River.  We where only planning on staying one night because it was a little pricey to stay there then what we are use too and 2 we wanted to ride Bryce before we headed home to Canada. CAMPING IN BRITISH COLUMBIA Sorry I have not done a lot of Blogging in the past year. We have been very busy around our ranch and did not get away much this past year. We did how ever get away a few times this summer to some of our favorite spots and even some new ones. We also planning our winter get away to Arizona in January. HIDDEN VALLEY RUSTIC HORSE CAMP This beautiful hidden camp is located just before Mamitt Lake in the Beautiful Nicola Valley area between Merritt and Logan Lake. Follow the Mamitt Lake road (Hwy 97C) when you head out of Merritt towards Spencer's Bridge you will the sign for Logan Lake off Hwy 8 it is about 5 minutes out of town on the right side Hwy 97C (Mamitt Lake road). We started our year off in Arizona then Utah then Oregon coast. My last blog was riding the beaches of Oregon. Once we got home to British Columbia and our small farm in Merritt our first stop was going to be the "Kamloops Cowboy Festival" where some of our good friends down the highway  from us had their children entered in the Raising Star competition at the Cowboy Festival. They call them selves "Mack-Station".  There was 8 competitors in the competition most of them adults that had been singing for many years. NEHALEM BAY AND THE OREGON COASTLINE

Here is a map of the camping in Nehalem Bay State Park on the Oregon Coast. You go through the regular camp to get back to the horse camp. The horse camp does not have power but does have water. There are showers and restrooms in the main camp and portable pit toilets in the horse camp. Each camp has 2 well built log corrals, a picnic table and a fire pit.
