Did you have reactive hypoglycemia progress to diabetes?

I’ve had RH for 10 years. The symptoms are horrible. My blood sugar levels are never high. When I did a glucose tolerance test my glucose dropped to 30. The only thing that helps is diet and acarbose. My grandma and uncle have type 2 diabetes and they don’t even realize they have it. It makes me wish I had diabetes over RH. At least I could take medication to control it. submitted by /u/Camninja [visit reddit] [comments ..read more

I’m 24 years old and I have type 1 diabetes and have been living with it for just under 10 years. I’m 90% sure I also have adhd but it’s near impossible to get checked for it. I’m on a waiting list but will have to wait 4 years. Anyway…I’m addicted to sugary things and the adhd is making it hard to stop eating things. My stomach and arms are full of needle marks and I always have this stupid freestyle libre on my arm. My blood sugar is out of control and I always forget my doctor appointments. Sometimes I inject insulin and it does practically nothing. I’ve heard about pancreas transplants bu ..read more

I just switched to the trusteel infusion sites (6mm cannula) from tandem. I’ve been pumping for 19 years, and I’ve had to change them every 6 hours for occlusion alarms. My bloodsugars stay 300-400. I don’t know why they are doing this. This is so frustrating. Please help! What can I do to stop it from occlusioning submitted by /u/Imaginary-Specific62 [visit reddit] [comments ..read more

I had an expired sensor go bad after a day and I've heard it happen to someone else. I'm not 100% positive that is why, but just something to think about edit: and they don't replace expired sensors for not working submitted by /u/cprogrammingcgrades [visit reddit] [comments ..read more

Delayed dinner - 5 hrs - does it matter

T1 - I will be traveling this afternoon and will end up having to eat dinner about 5 hrs later than normal tonight. I'll take my daily basal dose during the trip at the normal time. Can I just bolus when I eat later tonight or do I need to eat a snack and take a small bolus at the 'normal' time I would be eating? Does it matter? BG is looking good today. Appreciate your thoughts. submitted by /u/commoncents2800 [visit reddit] [comments ..read more

Metformin has been ‘superseded’ UK

I have been diagnosed with Type 2 for a few months and ever since my diagnosis I have been on Metformin repeat prescription. I put in my normal request for my medication and my NHS app is saying the status is ‘superseded’. I haven’t been giving any sort of communication with issues with medication or anything like that with my GP and was just wondering if anyone has had this. If I’m honest I don’t even know what ‘superseded’ means in the medical sense so if anyone know what’s happening that would be great so I can go to my GP and see what’s happening! Thankfully I have about a months worth le ..read more
