I think with the success of the criterion channel inspiring various streamers to look into whether starting their own channels would work for them, it would be cool to have a way to take the movies and shows people have purchased in their Apple TV libraries and turn them into personal programming networks to simulate the process of watching television except with one’s own legally acquired content. Is there an app out there that’s doing this? I can see this idea being manifested in 1 of 2 ways, or with the option for both

Dolby vision automatically turns on when the app is launched and it makes non-HDR content look washed out.
I tried to look up a way to disable but everything i find is referring to going to 'Video and Audio' in the settings which i assume is on AppleTV set top devices.
But Xbox app has 'General' and 'Audio' with no 'Match Content' option.

I currently have Electric Sheep and Sfare but they’re more screensavers than visualisers. Would love an audio reactive visualiser app if anyone knows of one?

I noticed that as of today, the Youtube app will only play at 480p when I try to play 60 fps videos at anything but 1x speed.
I have a 4th Gen Apple TV and previously I could play 1080/60 at any speed I wanted, though if I changed the speed at some point, the video would go to 480p. I just then re-forced 1080/60 and the speed I wanted and it was fine.
Now though, any change in playback speed now makes Youtube force 480p no matter what!
This isn't a bandwidth issue as I have a 100 Mbps ethernet connection that keeps up easily (I can do 4k60 on my mac without issue as an example)... it's an iss ..read more

I left it plugged in for 24 hours (and even flipped the charger and left it for an additional few hours since Apple chargers don’t always detect it the first time) I also held the down volume and home button for 5 seconds. When I try to connect it through settings my tv says it’s not in range. Did the remote die on me? Should I just replace it? This I my first Apple TV and I’m not sure what to do!
