Once upon a time, a daughter complained to her father that her life was miserable and that she didn’t know how she was going to make it.
She was tired of fighting and struggling all the time. It seemed just as one problem was solved, another one soon followed.
Her father, a chef, took her to the kitchen. He filled three pots with water and placed each on a high fire.
Once the three pots began to boil, he placed potatoes in one pot, eggs in the second pot, and ground coffee beans in the third pot.
He then let them sit and boil, without saying a word to his daughter. The daughter ..read more

A person’s words have enormous influence for good or evil and are a sure indicator of the person’s character.
The impact of our speech cannot be over emphasized, for the Bible makes it clear that a man’s speech has power of life and death (Proverbs 18:21), and is also capable of bringing success or misfortune to the speaker, as shown in Proverbs 12:13-14, which says:
“13 The wicked is snared by the transgression of his lips: but the just shall come out of trouble. 14 A man shall be satisfied with good by the fruit of his mouth…”
Job 19:2 reveals that a person’s speech can destro ..read more

We arrive with the intent to worship Jesus with focus.
But the burdens of our week, the tensions of our morning, the children by our side, the anxiety of our upcoming schedule all conspire to distract us. here are four ways you can avoid Distraction in Church
1. Choose your seat wisely.
For me, I have found that sitting in the center towards the front helps me to focus my attention. I have fewer things to look at because it’s too awkward to turn around.
When I used to sit in the back or the balcony, I felt like I had a TV to watch. There are so many interesting things that h ..read more

Being born again, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, by the word of God, which liveth and abideth for ever (1 Peter 1:23).
Christianity is an exciting life—a life of victory through the Word.
In true Christianity, you don’t need to struggle to please God, because the Holy Spirit helps you live the faith life that pleases Him.
All you have to do is pay attention to Him through the Word. Live in, and by His Word.
When you live according to the Word of God, you won’t need to keep watching your life to know whether or not you’re pleasing God.
It takes faith to please Him ..read more

Many Christians have faulty prayer patterns.
God know you need a car and every good thing that life offers but when you begin to pray for His kingdom, all those material things shall be added to you.
Matthew 6:33 – But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.
Prayer is for the soul what nourishment is for the body.
No Christian is greater than his prayer life.
A prayerful Christian is a powerful Christian and a prayer-less Christian will be a powerless Christian.
A Christian without prayer is life a computer hardware ..read more

“Then Samuel took the horn of oil, and anointed him in the midst of his brethren: and the Spirit of the LORD came upon David from that day forward.” – 1 Samuel 16:13 KJV
David was the successor to Saul; the son of Kish and the first king of Israel. Saul had disobeyed God.
Each time God instructed him to do something, he would rather do what he wanted.
For this reason, God rejected him and said He had found for Himself a man in Jesse’s house, after His heart.
David was busy minding his business, not even counted among the potential kings. He didn’t smell like a king. He didn’t ..read more

First of all, then, I urge that petitions (specific requests), prayers, intercessions (prayers for others) and thanksgivings be offered on behalf of all people. — 1 Timothy 2:1 (AMP)
In Exodus 32, Moses interceded for the children of Israel so that the wrath of God would not destroy them.
It’s a stirring example that depicts how sincere prayer can change situations.
There are times when I find myself being led to pray for God to be merciful to a person, or to continue working with them and making the changes in them that are needed.
As Jesus told His disciples at Gethsemane, we ..read more

Daniel 4: 25-32 says “that they shall drive thee from men, and thy dwelling shall be with the beasts of the field…..Verse 31, “while the word was in the king’s mouth, there fell a voice from heaven, saying, O king Nebuchadnezzar, to thee it is spoken; the kingdom shall depart from thee”.
The first rule about dealing with God is to make Him your one and only source – it is very important.
The best way to do this is to express it in thanksgiving by giving God all the glory for everything happening around you.
Never attribute your progress to your intelligence, skills or knowledge ..read more
