I love charity shopping for secondhand clothes! Generally I try to buy as little as possible. I have a wardrobe full of clothes but sometimes I just feel the need for a bit of refresh of my clothes and rather than buying clothes from fast fashion brands, I much prefer to shop for secondhand clothes in charity shops. I am always genuinnely surprised by the amazing clothes that people no longer want any more and have donated. Most of the clothes in charity shops are in a pretty good condition. Sometimes they are even brand new with the tags on. There are so many reasons to love charity shoppin ..read more

Next week is Fashion Revolution week. It first started back in 2013 when the Rana Plaza building, which housed a number of clothing factories in Bangladesh, collapsed killing 1100 people, most of them young women, and injuring many more. The people in this building were manufacturing clothing for many of the biggest global fashion brands. Ever since this day, many people around the world have joined the Fashion Revolution calling for change, trying to hold fashion brands to account and persisting with the important question of ‘Who made my clothes?’. Fashion Revolution week has also beco ..read more

Dress – Oxfam Shoes – Clarks (this post contains affiliate links – find out more here) Welcome to September, back to schook/work and the start of autumn! September is also all about second hand clothes. Second hand September is Oxfam’s intiative to encourage people to pledge to say no to new clothes for 30 days. I am already doing a ‘no new clothes for a year’ challenge so not buying new in September pretty much goes without saying. However I couldn’t resist joining in to help spread the word and show off some off my second hand clothes. Every week 11 million items of clothing end up in landf ..read more
