The last few months have certainly been challenging. There is no doubt about that. But in the parenting sphere, I haven’t been able to relate to most of the voices that are sharing their experience. The voices that are cheering about kids going back to school and life starting to return to normal. That isn’t my experience. The thought of emerging from our bubble to “normal” life – whatever that looks like – is filling me with dread. For every difficult moment I have had during this time there have been 10 moments that have made me appreciate the time I have had with my family. Arguments over s ..read more

The greatest gift we can give our kids is our time… but that’s easier said than done. If your family is anything like mine, you start the weekend with good intentions. Fast forward a few hours while you are still deciding what to do and you end up doing nothing other than gardening and folding the laundry. So fun for the whole family! We need some structure to make sure that we do prioritise family time… and fill it with family activities that we will all enjoy, not just trying to make hanging the laundry seem like a fun game. This post is sponsored by Magicube. My girls love to build. I am amazed at what they can do with a few blocks and their imagination. Houses,  towers, bridges, butterflies and beyond. Despite their three year age difference, building is something that brings them together for play. I hadn’t really thought about buying magnetic blocks before… and now I’m kicking myself that I didn’t get them sooner! What are Magicube building blocks? Quite simply, Magicube building blocks are brilliant. They are magnetic so the blocks easily snap together as soon as you hold them close to each other. The magnet ..read more

I have used a quote from the book on the back of the shirt and decorated the front with a bow-tie, buttons and zig-zag lines. I managed to find the perfec ..read more

I’ve done vinyl and paper projects galore with my Cricut Maker, and now I’ve created the cutest DIY felt food project! Since Cricut sent us one of their fabulous Cricut Makers, I have been going mad with paper and vinyl crafts. We’ve made crowns, castles, princesses, pumpkins, paper dolls and more. But I wanted to try something a bit different that the kids could play with and enjoy for longer than just the few minutes it takes them to make it.
