Looking for a partner(s) for some indoor volleyball in Sacramento. Can be female or male. We could meet there or I can give you a ride if I’m able to/depending on circumstance, as I’m coming up from Fresno, CA over to Sacramento. Play starts at 8/9 pm and ends around 10 pm / 11 pm.
There is a 10$ event fee which you can pay through Zelle or cash to the organizer of the event. Also, I believe the teams will be evenly distributed once we are there, into a normal 6’s game or so. There is expected to be about 50-180 players.
Little background on myself: I’m a 22 year old male with my position bei ..read more

This isn't for any skill in particular, but it happens most frequently when hitting. Since I'm coming off of an ankle sprain, I temporarily lost my greatest asset (vertical jump), which makes hitting much harder than it used to be, which is why I really need to dial in and get my form correct. So I've been practicing my swing, which I think I've gotten pretty good at (for high school level). The only thing is, when the ball is in the air, and it's time to make my approach, everything falls apart. My approach, my swing, everything. I start with a clear focus in my head for every rep I do of hi ..read more

I’m hovering over the line and not stepping on it. I get as close as possible with my other foot and then serve. People jump serve over the line all the time so I was just wondering if this is legal since I’m not jumping but still am over the line

Hey fellow volleyball enthusiasts!
I'm in the midst of planning an exciting trip to Japan this June, coinciding with the Volleyball Nations League (VNL) games, and I couldn't be more thrilled. I recently found out they have released the location to Fukuoka and have been waiting for more info. However, I'm encountering a bit of a roadblock when it comes to securing tickets for the VNL games. I've heard rumors about a raffle system for ticket sales, but I'm not entirely sure how it works or how to participate.
I would greatly appreciate any tips or advice you can offer on how to buy tickets and ..read more

Heyo ! I'm a senior in high school who just started playing last year. I never played sports in high school before that and weighed close to 300 pounds at the time, which lasted until about a month ago. For whatever reason, probably because our JV team wasn't the best, I started and played exclusively backline, which I still wasn't great at.
Welllll, things changed a bit this year and I've lost about 35 pounds in the past month. I don't mean to pump myself up, but my legs are beastly strong since they are used to carrying around a lot more weight than they are rn. Our season is just starting ..read more

Coach Club level 18's - I run a 5-1 system - Lost my strongest, right handed hitter (OH1) to a shoulder labrum tear for the season - I basically have my OH2 now who is a decent attacker and blocker - No other player on my squad is capable of providing a strong, left side attack - Both MB's are rock solid - My two RS's are decent but neither are capable of a strong swing on the left side but I could possibly move the stronger of the two, RS1 to OH2 and use my lefty RS2 in RS - I have two setters, one is faster and can actually hit well if needed - She is small in height but often. makes up for ..read more

As the title says. Got aced so many times that my teammates were outwardly very frustrated at me. We couldnt even rally because I couldnt get the ball up.
I know people say with serve receive, just “move on and get the next one”. But, when you objectively can’t get the next 10 ones, how do you even move on, especially when your whole team really doesnt want to continue playing with you (potentially even in the future) because of the errors you’re making?
