Considering the fact that ramadan went by extremely quickly, the euphrates river being super dry, and talks about issrealis killing a cow and destroying al aqsa mosque, is making me frightened, since as a 16 year old, i especially don't wanna be alive when the dajjal and the scary stuff happens, I keep comforting myself that maybe the end times may happen after I die or in another generation but videos, news, social media posts, and alot of stuff keeps making me think that I the end times will happen before in 20. What can I do to make myself not scared and calm myself down?

i know how this sounds, but let me be honest. my mother is emotionally abusive, the definition of a narcissist, selfish, and arrogant. she has somewhat of a personality disorder.
her only personality is yelling at her kids for whatever reason. i kid you not she will YELL at you for the simplest thing. she has called me all sorts of things when she lashes out, even body shaming me. she overreacts and makes a HUGE deal out of the tiniest things. i believe she finds pleasure in making her kids feel like they are a big disappointment.
the only thing she cares about is education. for context, i’m ..read more

I am unfortunately unable to fast due to illness and will most likely never be able to again. I pay fidya for Ramadan every year. I usually do it online to a charity where you can specifically donate for fidya to feed someone for the month. Is it permissible for me to send the money back home where it will be used to feed the needy there. To clarify who I’m sending the money too is a family member who will use the money to buy food and then give it out to the needy in person but I’m not sure if that’s allowed.

Assalamu Alaikum Wa rahmutallahi Wa barakatu.
Islam is the most beautiful and most logical religion, I've found solace and beauty in discovering more and more about it after embracing it but that's not why I'm writing this post.
As someone who reverted to islam from a place of habitual sin, I asked Allah for guidance and to make it easy for me to start living a better life InshaAllah.
Long story short I had a serious injury 4 days ago. Fractured my knee, smashed my tibia, damaged all the ligaments in my knee as well as dislocating and have nerve damage. This means I'm stuck in a hospital bed ..read more

My mom is 67 years old. She has chronic back pain and nerve issues. She's on some medication . But otherwise she's doing ok. We are financially blessed and she has everything she wants. My father passed away last year but they have been estranged for atleast 15 years. Though they lived in the same house.
My mother keeps saying she's expecting to die. This Ramadan or on this "holy" date. She's just expecting to die but I don't get it. Is it permissible in Islam to expect death this way. I want to discorage her saying it's haram ( if it is ).
She's only ,67 her father is still alive at 97 and h ..read more

I’m not sure whether to peruse this or not, I have friends who are Muslim, and date, do sexual acts, but then do not eat pork, participate in Ramadan etc… this confuses me. From my research it is haram to drink alcohol, eat pork and participate in sexual acts before marriage. Every forum says that Muslim men cannot date, drink etc. he is Dijboutian. I have never had a boyfriend before either for context. He has disclosed to me that he does occasionally but rarely drink, his religion prohibits him from tattoos, I just don’t understand the double standards. No sex before marriage is not a big d ..read more

Assalamu Alaikum, I got a serious question - is there any wrongdoing in Islam which is not prohibited by Islam?
I heard my father say that there are some wrongdoings in Islam which Islam has not prohibited! I was like what!!? Really!? Nauzubillah! Wrong means wrong!
All I know is that Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala has made good things lawful and bad things forbidden. Allah has forbidden those "deeds" that cause trouble and mischief among people.
Can anyone explain? ?

a realization I came to today. if you don’t care for yourself and don’t want the best for yourself what reason do you have to want a relationship with Allah or want to obey him. i sometimes reflect on the reasoning for my disobedience and sins and think, dang i must really hate myself and not care for my future (the akhirah) to be doing this to myself. most people will end up in hell because of low self value?
