Hello :)
I am looking to learn about Toaism and Chinese medicine. I know very little. I am a woman.
What books and or resources would you recommend to someone who wants to gain a better understanding of the philosophy?
Thank you

I'm currently reading On Walden Pond (or trying to, anyway) and I've got to say that Thoreau's thoughts would feel familiar to all types of Taoists.
"Most men lead lives of quiet desperation," Thoreau explains, and goes on to discuss how, in his eyes, so many of us are tethered to things. We're tethered to the farm our father left us after he passed, we're tethered to the possessions we've accumulated and tending to their care, we're tethered to the social presentations we make, the identity we create for ourselves in the eyes of others, we're tethered to the expectations and teachings of the ..read more

Hello, I've been into Taoism and Buddhism lately and I've done some good job being one with Nature. I love it. However...I can't feel the same connection with people. Animals, birds, flowers, sky- everything feels like a part of me. But humans? I just. Don't. I am neurodivergent, so maybe that's the reason, but it feels awful, since people are also a part of Nature to whom I cannot connect.
Maybe I'm wrong somewhere? Maybe I have a wrong idea? What can I do to feel at peace with people? Thank you in advance.

In the current translation I’m reading they are named like Superiorman Cloud-Dweller, etc. From my research I’m assuming the original term that was translated to “Superiorman” was “junzi”?
In the fiction they are kind of vaguely explained as being Daoists who have attained some supernatural level of wisdom that grants them special privileges and powers. Many other characters studied under specific Superiormen and several characters attempted to become them and failed.
What exactly are these people and why do they seem to be more powerful and respected than anyone else? In a world where basica ..read more

Is “te” the result of an outcome based on a set of conditions from the past? Forever taking into account the Tao and the myriad of things; the te is the virtue taking the conditions of the myriad of things creating the patterns and results we later witness.
Does my thought/understanding make any sense towards how te is perceived?
