Lockport mayor says order directing no news media contact is temporary

LOCKPORT, N.Y. (WIVB) -- Department heads within Lockport's City Hall have been directed to not speak with members of the news media, but Lockport's Mayor says his controversial order is only temporary. Mayor John Lombardi tells News 4 the directive was sent to department heads on Tuesday. "It was a temporary order directed to correct an administrative situation present in my administration," Lombardi said. Woman admits to drunk driving in connection with hitting pedestrians

BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) -- A Buffalo woman who was arrested last month pleaded guilty Wednesday to leaving the scene of an incident while drunk driving, according to the Erie County District Attorney's Office. Maggie A. Coyle, 49, was driving intoxicated on Cazenovia Street the night before Saint Patrick's Day when she hit two pedestrians while turning onto Cumberland Ave. Coyle drove away without notifying police. LOCKPORT, N.Y. (WROC) — The former owner of a spa in Rochester has been accused of running a prostitution ring. According to a criminal complaint filed in federal court, Linian Song was the former owner of S Wellness Spa on South Clinton Avenue. It was alleged that prostitution and commercial sex acts have taken place at her current business, New Elegant Shiatsu on S. Transit Road in Lockport. BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) — A former employee of Russell Salvatore has filed a lawsuit, accusing the restaurateur of sexual harassment, discrimination and wrongful termination. The suit, filed on Wednesday in New York State Supreme Court, alleges that Salvatore sexually harassed her on several occasions throughout her employment, which began in 2015.
