With each baby, my list of to-dos and to-buys seems to get shorter and shorter, ha. Here are a couple of the things we are stocking up on for baby #3: Blankets/swaddlesNixon has informed me that he will be sharing exactly 0 of his blankets with his new brother so new blankets and swaddles it is! Copper Pearl have been my go-to blankets this time around. They are so big and soft! My kids love a tight swaddle (we’ve never used a sleep sack) so I think these will come in handy! I also grabbed this one from Amazon because I thought it was so cute! Moses BasketI am soooo excited to be partnering w ..read more

Books make the best gifts! My mother in law is a teacher and she gives my kids a TON of books – so many of these are from her! She even puts together her own book of the month club for their first birthdays. It’s so fun! If you’re looking for some kids’ books to give this year, check out some of our favorites: The Crayons’ Book of Colors / The Day the Crayons Quit / The Day the Crayons Came Home These make me laugh out loud. They are so funny for kids and adults! The first is more for younger kids and the bottom two for bigger kids. Things that Go / My Neighborhood / Baby, Let’s Eat These ar ..read more

We open our stockings on Christmas Eve every year and have since I was a kid… I feel like it’s the start of Christmas! I always try to fill the kids’ stockings with things they actually need (not pictured: socks, underwear, and toothpaste always!) and a couple things they will find fun and exciting. See my picks below! Surprise mermaid Greylen loves LOL Surprise Dolls but I…do not. These are similar! They are surprise mermaids and they are all super cute. Thomas train Nixon loves (LOVES!) Thomas the train. These little motorized Thomas toys are great. He plays with them for hours. Personalize ..read more

All the days are hot chocolate days in our house! Unfortunately, my bar cart isn’t filled with all of my favorites wines this year so I set up a little hot chocolate bar with some of our favorite Christmas mugs instead. I’m all for anything we can do at home to make this season special and magical…it’s sure going to look different! I try to get a few new mugs for the kids each year. I rounded up some of my favorites at the end of this post – be sure to get them before they sell out. People are going crazy for Christmas stuff right now! bar cart / turntable / mugs / spoons / letter board ..read more

Nixon’s christmas tree

Couldn’t leave Nixon’s room (soon to be the boys’ room!) out of the holiday decorating. Nixon, of course, picked out all kinds of cars and trucks for his tree – most from Hobby Lobby and Target – and he is so proud of it! I was able to find all decor for under $100, a little pricier than Grey’s but Nixon had more expensive taste in ornaments.  It’s a little less “perfect” because, well, a 2 year old helped with it…and I love it that way! He had a lot of fun and was actually way more into it than I expected. Linked everything I could find below but if you have a question about where somet ..read more

From the true expert…Greylen! She sat down with me and we looked at some of the things we have in our house and use everyday, and I added some things they are getting this year. I plan to do a post soon about our favorite books (we have SO many) so stay tuned for that! Mara’s Box  This is a favorite in our house. It is a box of different colored objects and cups with activity cards. There are SO many activities ranging from kids younger than Nixon to older than Grey – it truly spans the ages. I think we can all agree that it’s never been more important to shop local and support small businesses. Here are some of my favorite Cleveland gift picks this year: Cleveland apparel from Emily RoggenburkMy brother got me my first t-shirt from the Emily Roggenburk shop last year and I was hooked! Her stuff is really unique (she even has one of a kind pieces that repurpose pre-loved items) and recognizable. I just got a few things for football season! I LOVE this sweat set…that’s all any of us are wearing in 2020, right?! You can shop online or in-person at Crocker Park on Fridays, Saturdays ..read more

Greylen’s christmas tree

Yep, it’s the beginning of November and our Christmas decor is coming out. I don’t usually decorate this early but it’s 2020 and whatever brings the joy goes! Greylen has NEVER been as into Christmas or decorating her room as she is now – it’s seriously so fun. I noticed that Michael’s was having a sale on trees (everywhere is right now) so I got 2 for the kids – this one for Greylen’s room and this one for Nixon’s room. I’m actually going to go get them price adjusted because they are even cheaper than when I purchased (both under $60)…so now is the time to buy! One of our bi ..read more

Some of my favorite band tees

Now here’s a trend I hope never goes out of style – band tees! I love them! Since they are usually really oversized, I definitely suggest something tighter on bottom. You can dress them up a little bit with gold accessories like hoops, necklaces, etc. and a blazer on top or keep it casual like I did. A tee would also look super cute knotted with a denim jacket. Scroll through the widget at the bottom of this post to see lots of options! The leggings I’m wearing are the lululemon Align Pants and I can’t say enough good things about them. I had heard they were great for pregnancy but I didn’t b ..read more
