A morning’s climb to Pico del Sagrado Corazón in the Ándara massif of the eastern Picos. A vertical climb in excess of 2000m over 7.5 miles. Starting out in Potes on the Arabades trail and finishing at the statue of the Sacred Heart of Jesus at 2211m. The final few hundred metres to the col ploughed directly up steep scree and boulder fields of the Canal de San Carlos.
