In February  2023, I became one of the 16,800 Australian’s who will be diagnosed with melanoma this year. I have 20+ stitches and will forever have a scar as a reminder. While I’m going to be ok, another 6-12 months and it could have been a different story.⁣ During my regular skin check my doctor noticed a spot on my arm that looked suspicious and shaved it off for a biopsy. I’ve always had regular checks and being half-Greek I have olive skin. Plus, I’m obsessive about wearing sunscreen and use fake tan for my shoots. So, when a week later the results came back positive for a ‘melanoma ..read more

When we started planning our first trip to Türkiye I had two mandatory stops on the itinerary, Cappadocia and Pamukkale. Both places are UNESCO World Heritage Sites and look completely out of this world – like nowhere else on earth. So, after an incredible four days in Cappadocia, we jumped on a quick flight from Cappadocia to Denizli Çardak Airport (via Istanbul), picked up our hire car and headed to our hotel which was a short 15-minute drive from Pamukkale. It was early evening by the time we arrived, so we had dinner and then turned in for the night so we could arrive fresh and early in ..read more

With its crystal-clear turquoise waters, fine white sand, and enchanting surroundings, La Pelosa is a true gem that enchants both visitors and locals. It ranks alongside Cala Goloritzé (located on the east coast of Sardinia about half way down the island) as one of the best beaches on Sardinia. As you approach La Pelosa Beach, the first thing that strikes you is the mesmerising shade of turquoise that blankets the sea. The contrast bet ..read more

Coming in at just under €10 million, this incredible Robinson Crusoe-style villa is up for sale on the idyllic French island of Corsica. Designed by French-born architect Savin Couëlle (son of the architect Jacques Couëlle), the architect was best known for his organic approach to architecture. The villa is located in the south of the island of Cavallo in Corsica, which is just a short boat trip from my favourite island in the world, Sardinia in Italy. Savin Couëlle also left indelible mark across the residential communities of Sardinia, with homes scattered across the island that p ..read more

KURAMATHI ISLAND, MALDIVES – PART II [HOTEL REVIEW]

I rarely visit the same place twice, so when I do you know it’s somewhere special. I first visited Kuramathi Island back in 2019, after getting engaged a few days earlier on a neighbouring island. For five magical nights, we celebrated our engagement watching sunsets, sipping on champagne, and swimming in the warm Indian Ocean. I didn’t think I could top the memories from that trip, but then came our 2022 return. Not only was this our first overseas trip since COVID-19, it was also our first overseas trip as a family. While COVID-19 was going on in 2020, we luckily had another distraction ..read more

Today, the Elephant Stables is a luxurious retreat that offers a unique blend of colonial elegance and contemporary design. The old colonial bungalow was previously the home of Sir Cudah Ratwatte, the patriarch of the island’s leading aristocratic family. Many elephants were once housed in the gard ..read more
