Crochet Pattern: Felicity Shawl

Felicity Shawl is a modern, asymmetrical triangular crochet shawl. It is worked back and forth in rows. The best thing about this shawl is how easy and quick it is to make. It took me only 8 days to finish it. And, of course, I didn’t crochet all the time. The stitch pattern is very interesting and repetitive, so when you remember 4 rows repeat, you can relax and listen to your favorite audiobook or podcast. Some of you would probably be able to watch something on YouTube or Netflix. I don’t watch anything while crocheting. I’m the listening person. When I crochet (something not too demanding ..read more

Crochet pattern: Easy as Pie Cable Blanket

Easy as Pie crochet cable blanket is my second pattern with cables. The first one was my Gretta shawl. When I finished the shawl I knew that I would make more cable patterns in the future, because I quite like making them. They are easy to do, very appealing to the eye, and they create such a nice texture – the quality I highly appreciate in any crochet project. * Easy as Pie cable blanket is a beautiful and modern crochet blanket. It is 95 cm (37.4”) wide and 133 cm (52.4”) long, but you can make it in any size. Just add more repeats if you want it bigger, or make fewer repeats if you want a ..read more

Crochet Pattern: Tayna Shawl

Tayna shawl was inspired by the knitted shawl I saw on the lovely Little drops of wonderful podcast (which I’ve just recently started to watch). The shawl was quite simple, with a striped body and a lacy border in contrasting color. It is the pattern by Knitting Expat Designs called Highland peaks shawl, and if you are a knitter, or just curious to see how it looks, you can check it out HERE. I decided to make the striped body using a moss stitch (linen stitch), because it’s not only easy to make, but also beautiful. I used it before in my Concept shawl. Worked in 2 color stripes, it remands ..read more

Crochet Pattern: Gretta Shawl

This is Gretta Shawl. I named it after the main female character from one of my all time favorite movies “Begin again”. I love everything about that movie: the plot, the characters, the actors, the music, the atmosphere… It’s fun and encouraging. And I really like its message, that anyone can always begin again… including you, and me… Life always gives us a chance for a new beginning. I love that! It is unusually cold in my apartment today, so I’m writing this post wrapped my in Gretta shawl. It is really soft and warm. I promised to my son yesterday that his lovely girlfriend can get any sha ..read more

The Concept Shawl Pattern

The Concept shawl is modern, simple and very wearable. You can combine it with almost every outfit. I wanted to make a shawl which will be both simple to crochet and easy to wear. I think I succeeded in that. I’m very happy with how it turned out! It reminds me of knitted shawls, because it’s very light and has such a wonderful drape. It’s also very soft, not scratchy at all. I believe that I will wear it a lot this autumn and winter. Let’s say a few words about the wonderful yarn I used. For the body of the shawl I used Air Lux by Katia. It’s 70% viscose and 30% 30% merino extra fine (50g ..read more

Crochet pattern: Delicate Shawl

I’m very happy to announce the publication of the Delicate Shawl pattern, the latest addition to my current shawl collection. It’s my seventh shawl design. It is made with delicate and beautiful 100% mohair kid yarn, so it’s very soft and light. The process of designing the shawl went smoothly; I was able to quickly achieve exactly what I had in my mind, but the yarn choice turned out to be very painful and time consuming. I had to make three versions until I was happy with the result. Actually, I was very happy with my first attempt. It looked beautiful in real life, just as I wanted, but I ..read more

Al Amal Crochet Shawl Pattern

Al Amal shawl is simple and elegant, and very wearable because of its clear design. But you can make it more dramatic and eye-catching if you chose some interesting, flashy yarn. You can also add pompoms instead of tassels. It would bring a completely new and modern dimension to the shawl. I find it interesting how an idea comes to fruition. Sometimes that process goes easy and smoothly, and I manage to turn the idea into reality without any effort. But some ideas have their own will and they want to develop and grow and become something completely different. It’s a little bit like living wi ..read more

Into the woods blanket pattern

Into the woods blanket is my seventeenth blanket pattern. So, you can guess that I really love designing crochet blankets. Yes, I do. Especially baby blankets. Into the woods blanket is quite simple to make, and very adjustable as well. You can make it in any size, simply by increasing or decreasing the number of horizontal or vertical repeats. You can also use whatever yarn you like. If you use bulkier yarn, the blanket will be bigger and the texture will be more prominent. I used Alize Angora Gold yarn in color beige (no. 599). I love this yarn because it’s beautiful, soft, and fluffy. It ..read more

Lelia Shawl Pattern

Crochet shawls, apart from baby blankets are my favorite things to design. Probably because I really like wearing them. When it’s cold, there’s always a shawl wrapped around my shoulders. This past winter my best friend was Weldy shawl. It kept me warm while I was working at my desk, or sitting on the sofa crocheting. The Lelia shawl is my fifth shawl design, and I enjoyed working on it. I loved all the phases of the process. From the sketch to the finished shawl. It was challenging sometimes, I’m not going to lie, but as a small business owner, I’m used to solving problems. The idea was to ..read more

Summerhill Shawl Pattern

Summerhill shawl is light and airy, a perfect accessory to your summer outfit. It’s very easy to make, plus it’s a yarn saver. You only need 2 skeins of yarn! It’s made of very thin cotton yarn. I used 1-2 size bigger crochet hook than recommended for this yarn weight, because I wanted it to be as delicate as a spider web. And I really love how it turned out! The design is very simple, and only decoration is a row of little roses on the border. At first I wanted to add a bunch of colorful crochet flowers on the border, but then my desire to make a shawl as simple and minimal as possible prev ..read more
