While I was at the cat show in Ventura, my best tiara went missing! My human had no idea where it went. She thought that maybe one of the kids that visited with me walked off with it. My human took me out back for a while, and you’ll never guess what I saw! Or maybe I should say who — it was the peach kitty’s sister! She didn’t run off when we saw us. Or even act nervous. My human was running low on my dinner cat food, so in the afternoon we headed for one of our local pet shops! I noticed they moved some things around again. I think this is the fourth time they’ve done this since I’ve been coming here. Fortunately, the catnip was in the same place, so it was easy to find. Honestly, I would have been able to smell it no matter where they put it. Most of the cat stuff was in the same area, but they got some new items. So I went to check them out. I got to have a therapy cat visit at the big hospital this week, and I had such a happy time with the patients! I got to Pediatrics right after a few kids had left, so there were just two girls for me to see. But they were awesome visits. The first girl was amazing — she totally had the kitty energy down. She knew exactly how to pet me and make me feel at home. It wasn’t long before I was purring enthusiastically and making happy paws. The peach kitty came to visit almost the moment I got back from Ventura…and he brought family! My human looked out onto our patio and there was his mom, while he sat waiting to see me. As soon as she saw my human, she ducked behind a little brick ledge but she didn’t leave. He came over to see me as soon as I came out, and she stayed and watched. Actually I barely left the enclosed patio. My human complained that it was too wet and cold for her, even though none of us kitties seemed bothered by it. As you know, I love hotel rooms! And it’s been a couple months or so since I showed you any of the hotels I’ve stayed in. So I thought I’d show you a little of this one. We’ve stayed in this hotel near the Ventura cat show several times, and my human swears that we’ve been in this specific room before. You can see how happy I am here. I was so happy to be at the Ventura cat show this past weekend! I didn’t get to wear as many clothes as I’d brought (in fact, the show ended a little earlier than I expected). But I did make sure to wear this one. And it was pretty rainy in the afternoon. Even though I stayed inside where it was dry (except when we had to leave and I was in my carrier), I wore my raincoat for a bit. It’s time for my weekly outtakes, and I have some pretty silly poses for you this time! I’m surprised this didn’t wind up in the original blog post this photo session was for! But the truth is, even the most clueless cat lover knows better than to shake hands with me and not let go of my paw. Remember a few weeks ago, I tried doing a modeling session in this corner of the backyard and got interrupted? My human and I decided to try again, since it’s got such nice lighting. We actually got a few good shots! But there I was, posing for a profile shot, when I noticed something. Yep, we were being spied on! It only took a moment before he came down and totally disrupted our photo session! He didn’t care that we were in the middle of working. It didn’t help that my human kept giving him treats.
