I have done a handful of blog posts about shoots and photographers that I enjoy working with, but recently I have had a surge of requests for advice from people who are embarking on their first photoshoot, and so I thought I would create a snappy little list of suggestions that will hopefully help set your mind at ease should you be about strike a pose! Bear in mind that this list intends to covers all bases, and you may have a more relaxed approach and find some steps unnecessary. Please feel free to add your own tips and experiences in the comments. 1. Choose the right photographer I mean ..read more

This is a paid partnership with Simply Be, but all opinions are my own. I love dresses. And so when Simply Be asked me to pick three from their website and style them in my own way I knew I was onto a winner! I have created three different looks that could be worn for all manner of fun summer shenanigans! All photos were taken by Kaye Ford at Fordtography. The Casual Look I have genuinely not ever found a dungaree dress that didn’t gravitate towards one boob whilst leaving the other exposed, but somehow this stretchy, fitted number managed to remain in place! It’s a great length, and the s ..read more

One cup does not fit all! I use two different cups – the OrganiCup (which was gifted) and the Luna Cup. The Organicup is quite stiff, which means it unfolds more easily. But when I am a little sensitive up there it also means I can feel it more easily which cause some pain, and vice versa f ..read more

I have recently been doing what I do best – wearing a buttload of dresses! Come take a peek and get inspired! I am wearing everything with a Rosie Red corset. I recently shot with Lady Voluptuous and I was allowed to keep a few dresses. Their revamped swing dress has been redesigned to be a good fit in pus sizes, and I found the sizing much truer, the length way better, and the sleeves nice and spacious. Sadly as with all the shoes in this post they are pretty old, but this amazing straw bag is still very much available – expect to see is a lot in this post! Have you ever seen anythi ..read more

Capri Fun

Something I have always loved the look of but haven’t ever really tried is capris! They are often too thin, too low, and just don’t really work on me! However, I was recently offered a few gifted items from Hell Bunny, and I decided to give a few pairs of capris a go. I had briefly worn some of the other styles on their shoots, and so I knew that 3XL would likely be the best fit for me, and I asked for a gingham pair and a leopard print pair. The fit was pretty perfect, bar the waist being a bit big. This mean that they were slightly lower at the back and a bit gapey. A size down wou ..read more
