Friends… this has been a weird league. When you make sweeping changes to a game as complicated as Path of Exile… you get some extremely varied issues that come up with it. Going into this league I had one idea planned… which was to gear my character in such a way as to not really need my amulet slot for the dexterity required to play Righteous Fire. Over the weekend I finished watching my way through the Amazon Fallout Series and I have to say… It nails the vibe of Fallout perfectly. There are so many things that are just “right” about the world and I have a feeling I am going to have to watch the entire series a few more times before all of them sync in. There are moments like Super Duper Mart that are pulled directly from the games, and then there are just set dressing and elements that are so familiar but not necessarily directly connected. Good Morning Folks! I find myself starting to feel that old familiar itch… the one that involves me leveling a second character. I have no clue what I actually want to make but that isn’t important. What is important is that I know before long I will wind up chasing some new character and trying to make it work. Good Morning Folks! Things continue to truck along happily in the post-patch Necropolis league. The only real problem I am having right now is that there are too many things that I would like to be doing. Normally speaking I tend to focus hard on a single mechanic, and more often than not that is Delve. I am down around 230ish depth and having a grand ole time… but also I find myself really enjoying mapping this league more than normal. Good Morning Folks! What a difference a few days can make. When I wrote my Monday post I talked about how big of a falloff this league has had and how it might go down as one of the worst leagues. The difference between the worst league and the best league is a handful of tweaks here or there, because right now… Necropolis feels great. Good Morning Folks! I don’t have a massive blog post this morning as I am sort of just trucking along in the league and grinding things out on my Righteous Fire Chieftain. I hit 90% to all resistances by leveling my Purity of Fire the rest of the way to 20 and have been slowly upgrading things as I get currency. This morning I upgraded Burning Damage and Elemental Focus to Level 21/20% Quality gems for a bit of a damage boost. Since I am still running on a 4-Link chest, my Righteous Fire is starting to finally be noticeable how little damage it is doing. I have the final chest piece that I am ..read more
